The fruit share is comprised of fresh, in-season fruit from farms in our region. A weekly share will typically consist of one or two fruit items (e.g. 1 pint blueberries and 2.5 lbs. Peaches).
About half of the fruit is certified organic. The tree fruits—e.g. peaches, plums, apples, pears—are from a Hudson Valley orchard that takes preventative measures through Integrated Pest Management to limit the use of sprays- but it is not certified organic.
Season length: because of gaps in availability, fruit is normally distributed 20 to 21 out of the 22 weeks
